This simple intuitive software makes gel analysis quick and easy. Once the gel is imaged, GeneTools automatically sizes your bands, archives the results and enables effortless reporting. Depending on the chosen application, the software automatically calculates different values. For DNA analysis, fragment size and concentration are calculated. For RNA analysis, an objective measure of RNA quality is calculated and displayed as the ScreenTape Degradation Value (SDV), alongside 28S/18S ratios and RNA quantity. For protein analysis, molecular weight is automatically returned as well as band quantity and % purity. Depending on the chosen application, the software automatically displays the most relevant experimental values.
