"We have the ScreenTape P200 for about 6 months in our lab and it has proven to be an excellent tool to rapidly characterize protein samples! Analysis of protein purity in between purification steps has never been more easy and fast as with the ScreenTape P200. Decisions about whether the protein needs further purification now take less than 15 minutes instead of the extensive time required for poring, loading, running, staining and de-staining of conventional SDS-PAGE gels. The ScreenTape P200 is also a perfect system for quality control of final protein preparations. Because of its sensitivity that goes well beyond that of coomassie-stained gels, even the smallest amount of contamination can be detected and quantified. In addition, chromatograms of different protein batches can be compared easily within the software to examine batch-to-batch variations.
All in all it is a great system that can be recommended to any lab that cares about their protein solutions: It is quick, easy to use and the software is straightforward, with many options for analysis and preparations of reports."

"The screen tape system worked great for my analysis. It's fast, easy to use and gave much nicer resolution then I could achieve with standard agarose gels. The integrated software makes the imagining and analysis extremely efficient."

"We are utilising the TapeStation from Lab901 for analysis of total RNA and amplified, labelled cRNA for quality assurance prior to analysis of expression on Affymetrix microarrays.  We have found the instrument and sample preparation procedures very straightforward, with a simple workflow.  We have had very good concordance between data quality from the microarrays and quality of the cRNA samples assessed on the TapeStation.  We have compared the QC data to data obtained with the alternative technology that we used previously (Agilent BioAnalyser) and found them to be comparable and equally informative.  Due to the simplified workflow we are now processing all of our samples only on the TapeStation for QA during our microarray sample preparation within the core facility that I manage."

“Lab901’s ScreenTape R6K platform offers a fast, simple and robust method for determining RNA integrity and is very easy to use. The SDV metric, shows equivalence to the Agilent RIN and predicts total RNA performance in microarray experiments. We are pleased to have been given early access to this system as accurate measurement of RNA quality is crucial for the reliability and quality of downstream measurements such as microarray based assays.”

“As a nucleic acid quantification and quality control instrument, the TapeStation is very straightforward to use, provides easy to interpret data and has the advantages of not requiring any chips to be primed, permitting the analysis of more than 12 samples at any one time and reducing costs by allowing re-use of unused ScreenTape. It is very fast and, as a package, provides a superior alternative to any system that is on the market right now. Together with the technical support received from Lab901, this adds up to a very attractive combination. Since quality assessment of RNA is one of the major stages in a microarray or qPCR workflow, it is essential to have access to a method that allows rapid QC of large numbers of RNA samples. The TapeStation is ideal for this purpose.”
